One of my favorite psychologists

Lev Semyonovich Vygotsky (1896 - 1934). He was a psychologist of Russian nationality. He was a great writer; his publications covered such topics as child development, education, psychology of art and language development. He was a key author in developmental psychology, also made significant contributions in the field of neurophysiology and of course among the most important things he did,Vygotsky, was the foundation of the historical-cultural psychological approach.   One of his main theories and the one that interests me most is the Sociocultural theory of cognitive development. This theory emphasizes the idea that the proactive and collaborative interaction of children with their environment results in the correct cognitive development in the child. In other words, it holds that children develop their learning through activities that they perform in a shared manner, allowing them to internalize the thought and behavior structures of the society in which they are immersed, appro...

Choosing a photo as my favorite was difficult to me because there are so many beautiful moments I have lived with my family and friends. From all of them I chose this photo as one of my favorites. This photo shows me (the youngest) and my cousin who is three years older than me playing at my grandparents' house. When my mom took the picture, approximately in the year two thousand, I was two years old and she was five years old.  Of all the photos I could choose this one  means the most to me. Since we were little my cousin and me were raised as sisters, we were always together playing and creating new games and obviously getting into trouble. That's why we were always close and still are, in other words, she is still there for me when I need her and I like to say that I am there for her too. I know that whenever we need each other we will be there for each other.

My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is my kindle.  My mother gave it to me when I turned thirteen, I remember that I discovered my love of reading that year.  My kindle is a device that is meant to be a portable e-book reader. This device does not have a camera or a gaming application but it is perfect for reading e-books because it uses an electronic ink screen, which I like because I can read without the pain of exposure to the LED screen light us ually used by electronics such as cell phones or tablets.  I like to use the kindle to read some e-book on my to-do list whenever I can, which is not much because I have to study a lot haha. I feel comfortable reading in the kindle because when I read it feels like I'm reading a book on printed paper without the hassle of the sun's reflection when I read in the yard or the eye strain of artificial light.   If I didn't have my kindle, I guess I would read on my cell phone or on the computer because I don't like to b...
